Book Review - Revelation, a new translation

I recently read and finished a new translation of the book of Revelation by MICHAEL STRAUS and ILLUSTRATIONS created BY JENNIFER MAY REILAND #BookOfRevelationNewTranslation

I found the translation very readable and clear; honest and emotional. I enjoyed the novel-like layout as it kept my attention and focus on the imagery and vision that the New Testament writer of the book, John, experienced while he was on the island of Patmos.

The art work is incredibly detailed, but don't let the children look too closely at some of the drawings. The illustrations reminded me of the album cover artwork by Howard Finster for the Talking Heads album, Little Creatures.

If you are familiar with the band, Adam Again, the album cover artwork from their first album, In a New World of Time, is also reminiscent in the illustrations of this book. Fascinating, captivating and riveting; you're tempted to keep looking, hoping to find "Waldo" but he does not show up in the book of Revelation.

If you want to reignite your imagination to this provocative and confusing book of the New Testament of the Bible, check out this new translation. It will grab your attention and your heart in ways you never thought possible.
